The North
Acizo de Anaga is a mountain range in the northeast of the Spanish island of Tenerife. The highest point is at 1,024 m and is called Cruz de Taborno. The mountains were formed after a volcanic eruption about 7 to 9 million years ago, making them one of the oldest parts of the island.

A few minutes by car from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, you will find the Parque Rural de Anaga Natural Park, classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve because its natural resources have been exceptionally preserved. You wouldn’t be the first to fall in love with the beauty of the steep, sharply jagged mountain peaks. Deep valleys and ravines extend all the way to the sea, where numerous beaches have formed where you can take a refreshing dip. This region is also home to a flora and fauna rich in native species.
You can enjoy the park in many ways: hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, … And if you are more of a water person, you can take advantage of the wind for sailing or enjoy the beautiful deep sea during a fun day of diving, surfing on the powerful waves of the Atlantic Ocean, explore beaches with a kayak or try water skiing or wakeboarding.
